Eyebolt glued into spreader tip
I did not want an S Hook applying its stress to the edge of a fiberglass pole so opted to glue a 2 inch 1/4-20 Stainless Eyebolts with washer and nut into the tip spreader. Stress passes along the first two inches of the spreader.
I don’t really know if this is over engineered, but it brings me plenty of peace of mind.
