FCC proposal to curtail net gear mods

The FCC is considering locking down computing devices (routers, PCs, phones, SDRs) to prevent modification by end users.

Here is the wording…

…with instructions to leave comments near the bottom of the webpage.

Some exceptions for amateur radio are in the text, but the wording doesn’t seem to cover WiFi routers and such that don’t have original Part 97 certification except some broadcast gear.  The devil is in the details.  If you want to comment the deadline is.
