The Laird MABO is a NMO (New Motorola) mobile antenna mount for installation in a 3/8 inch hole.
The threaded coupling between the top ring and the inner piece is relatively small.
Not shown is the carved groove which accepts and holds an O-Ring to ensure a good seal between the top piece and the metal surface.
