Since the tomato stake as pipe stiffener was a bust, I purchased a three foot oak wood dowel from a home center.
This is non-conductive so will work well between the 1/2 inch gap of the LFA full wave loop feed point.
My only concern of the wood is its susceptibility of absorbing moisture.
