This view shows the Kenwood TM-D710A transceiver, its wood box and the two antennas. The view is southwest from the Hawksbill platform.
One 7AHr Pb Gel Cell powered the rig for all four hours. A spare Gel Cell is also on hand.
Hidden by the wood box is the Green Light Lab GPS-710 GPS receiver stuck to the back of the D710’s control panel. It is a no frills black box made by KJ4FAJ that simply works to provide GPS data to the D710.
