Adding 0.05 wavelength wire to EFHW antenna

Using the gear explained in the previous article about these end-fed dipoles, I performed one run with an additional piece of “counterpoise” wire 0.05 wavelength wire inline with the half-wave radiator.

This was a quick test, but interesting nonetheless. Stay tuned for a more thorough test in the near future with the antenna considerably higher and a far field energy measurement to verify the current magnitudes.
